LES DEUX TERROIRS
A fine blend of time and space
“Les Deux Terroirs”, the one and only interregional blend from France is actually the revolutionary French wine.
Taking the best from where it is best, “Les Deux Terroirs” is a premium blend of merlot from Bordeaux with shiraz from the southeast of France.
It is the only French premium still wine to be a blend of different vintages in order to guarantee consistent quality over the years, following the example of Champagne.
It offers a unique combination of Bordeaux elegant fruit with southern sun and spices. Fine, round and balanced, it goes well with any food. Its finesse makes it a sessionable drink, one glass calling the other.
Its 54mm premium natural cork from Maison Trescases avoids any corking problems. Satisfaction guaranteed throughout the value chain.
It offers a true and good story to tell. What seems to be a novel blending approach is in fact going back to the technique used by Bordeaux top growths before the A.O.C. system. They indeed used shiraz from the hill of l’Hermitage (Rhone) to further improve their top wines, selling them as premium “cuvées hermitagées”.
It was conceived by Jean-Philippe Janoueix (Winemaker of the Year 2000 and a top awarded grower in Saint-Émilion and Pomerol) and Alexandre Sirech, formerly CEO of Havana Club. Oenological consultant: Laboratoire Michel Rolland.
